Social content campaign

Spotify needed to promote key new features and partnerships across multiple territories.

Music transcends borders, but music consumption habits vary widely. Stereo was commissioned to create a content campaign to meet the different regional trends, while staying consistent across multiple territories.


At the time, music listeners in Germany, France and UK were slow to adapt to music streaming. These habits can be hard to break,  so we needed to find a way to immediately gain trust and tell Spotify’s story.

In France, we partnered with popular artists like Maitre Gims and Joyce Jonathan, and in Germany we gained buy-in through partnerships with trusted brands and artists like Deutsche Telekom, Universal Music Germany and Milow. Stylised films displayed across social and paid media showcased how the artists use Spotify to talk to fans, find new music and share their favourite playlists.



Spotify exceeded their subscription targets in all three territories. At the same time, the association with key artists created thousands of social conversations and the films were viewed millions of times. The campaign reinvigorated Spotify as a mobile-first brand that was more than just a place to hear music, but a community.
