Junior Copywriter

Stereo is a culturally charged creative agency. We’re a team of 50+, based in London and San Francisco, with a reputation for delivering exciting work for both the lifestyle and service sector.

Now we’re on the hunt for a Junior Copywriter to join our team. You’ll work closely with designers to deliver copy on one of our biggest clients — Nike. Day-to-day you’ll receive and respond to briefs directly from Nike, getting to grips with one of the world’s most recognisable brand voices. Creativity comes naturally to you, and you’ll work hard to deliver flawless copy that’s bold and unexpected.

You’ll be comfortable writing longer-form copy but know that no word count is too short to make an impact.

An interest in the worlds of lifestyle, fashion, and sport are desirable but not essential. A passion for language and ability to write compelling stories is a must.

Typical Activities

  • Writing flawless and exciting copy for our clients. Flexing your skills across all the facets of digital copy — email, app, .com and social 

  • Understanding and implementing different brand tones

  • Thinking creatively and collaborating with designers, developers and other writers on 360 campaigns

  • Proof-reading your work and delivering copy that is grammatically correct

  • Taking and responding to briefs from client, escalating any issues

  • Managing your workload in a fast-paced environment 

  • Taking feedback and pushing work forward

  • Joining internal and external creative meetings

Skills Required

  • Previous agency experience (internship is fine)

  • A passion for ideating, collaborating and problem-solving

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good time management

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to write copy of all lengths and formats

  • Excellent knowledge of grammar and punctuation

  • A solid understanding of Mac and Microsoft programs

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative and proactive attitude
